Bondage with tape technique - soft bondage techniques
articles and tutorials bondage techniques Bondage theory
Bondage tape is thin, flexible vinyl material, usually about two inches wide. It's not sticky at all; the vinyl has special properties that cause it to stick to itself, but not to anything else, so it won't cling to hair or skin or fabric. It's also completely reusable. You don't need any knot-tying skills whatsoever to use it, and it's quick and easy to restrain someone with, and to remove when you're done.
You can even make clothing from bondage tape. It's a great and inexpensive way to make temporary fetish or club wear; just a few quick turns of bondage tape around strategic parts of your body and you're done!
There are a lot of things you can do with bondage tape, which I'll talk about here. One of the very simplest is to bind wrists or ankles together like you see in the picture to the left. It's a fast way to bind your partner's limbs together, and it's quickly and easily removed.
When you use bondage tape this way, the easiest way to work with it is to wrap it entirely around one limb first, then wrap it around both limbs together. To bind your partner's wrists like you see here, wrap it completely around one wrist first, then bring your partner's wrists together and wrap it around both wrists, keeping a steady, even tension on it as you do. It'll stick to itself pretty aggressively, but it doesn't stick to skin at all, so wrapping around one wrist first keeps it from slipping.

Fun with Bondage Tape
Chairs and bondage tape are a great combination. If you have a large chair with arms, there's all kinds of possibilities open to you. I like to use a nice, soft leather chair; I'm a big believer in comfort during bondage, because if your partner is comfortable, you can leave your partner tied and have fun for longer.
Start out by wrapping about one and a half turns of bondage tape around your partner's wrist, then pull the tape taut and wrap it several times around the arm of the chair while keeping a uniform pressure on it.
When both wrists are bound, have your partner lift his or her feet up onto the edge of the chair, and wrap a turn or two of bondage tape around each ankle, then continue wrapping the tape around the arm of the chair. This puts your partner in a delightfully vulnerable and accessible position.
USING A LADDER
The illustration here shows how just about anything, including something like a ladder, can be used for bondage with bondage tape. The same is true of rope bondage as well, though doing something like this with rope requires a bit more effort and skill.
Tying your partner standing up is a good way to begin a spanking, flogging, or cropping scene; or can be used as part of sensation play, or for many types of roleplaying. A person who is bound while standing can often take a heavier flogging or cropping, because the muscles of the legs and butt are not extended, but are in their relaxed positions. You can tie your partner face out (as I've done here) or face in (for cropping or flogging the backside).
You need not necessarily use a ladder; any two fixed upright posts will work. In fact, this should give you an idea of just how versatile bondage tape is; look around your house and you'll probably find all sorts of things you can tie your partner to!
Start by having your partner stand against the ladder (face in or face out) or, if you're tying your partner between two upright fixtures, standing between the fixtures. If you're using a ladder, have your partner place his or her arms through the ladder as shown below.
Wrap one turn of bondage tape around your partner's wrist, then have your partner hold the upright part of the fixture and wrap several turns of bondage tape around his or her wrist and the fixture, as you see here:
Repeat the same process with the ankles. Wrapping a turn of tape around the wrist or ankle first keeps the bondage tape from sliding and coming loose as you're binding the limb to the fixture.
